What is Hallgrímskirkja ?

Hallgrímskirkja is one of the biggest luteran temple, located on Reikjkiakik, the capital of Iceland, and is a most-visit place for the tourist who comes to Iceland for sightseeing Iceland cities, and monuments, besides Hallgrímskirkja is a religious monuments, it's a really interesting place to visit, just for see by yourself how big it is.

The most interesting ways to access Hallgrímskirkja, is walking throw the commerce streets Skólavörðustígu, once you finished this important Iceland street, you just arrive to the square of the Iceland's caapital city, you just get shocked by the Skólavörðustígu size. The most interesting thing about this, is how it is buildt, it looks like a big spaceship who is going to take off at any time.

this huge monument began to be built in the 40s but up to 3 decades later it was not finished due to its gigantic dimensions, buidt by Guðjón Samúelsson.
